The last dress I bought was as a bridesmaid. It cost double the original retail price to have it completely reworked—sleeves, underbust, hem, side seams, split. The entire dress had to be reimagined just to fit my body.

The Petite Cartel was established in answer to the lack of contemporary, sustainable options for women 4ft 10 – 5ft 3.
Founded by Mintu, her love for clothing came from watching her mother lovingly make her childhood dresses. That early understanding that the best clothes are made with intention and not mass production shaped everything that followed.
Our ethos: intentional and uncomplicated, and this runs through every decision. We design for longevity, not trends; our style is elegantly understated and modest without pretence. Each piece is made with purpose—trendless, timeless, uncomplicated in construction but purposeful in fit, unlike an industry that treats petite sizing as an afterthought.
We design with our planet in mind, choosing thoughtful materials and natural fibres such as TENCEL™ Lyocell, GOTS organic cotton, linen, and natural rubber. You won't find polyester linings, synthetic threads, plastic zippers, or shortcuts. Our commitment to being plastic-free extends to every detail, including the parts you don’t see.
